CHIP tool can not send command when OTBR and Ubuntu PC(within CHIP tool) restart

Dear sir:

When I first use CHIP tool in my Ubuntu NB, I can commission bulb(52840) through OTBR(Pi4+52840 RCP) successfully, besides, I can use CHIP tool to control bulb on/off.

But when I reboot Ubuntu NB and OTBR, I can't send any command to bulb, how can I fix this issue?

This is CHIP tool error log:

In addition, I found the compressed Fabric ID has changed, this is CHIP tool log:

[1731464510.137733][3122:3124] CHIP:CTL: Joined the fabric at index 1. Fabric ID is 0x0000000000000001 (Compressed Fabric ID: B85B22C268B8BF23)

        This is Bulb syslog:

        I: 294 [FP]Fabric index 0x1 was retrieved from storage. Compressed FabricId 0x7BE6F94CA3AAB50C, FabricId 0x0000000000000001, NodeId 0x000000000000007B, VendorId 0xFFF1[2024-11-13 10:17:29.703]

I'm confusing how can I fix it? thx

        attachments: bulb on/off command(./chip-tool-release onoff toggle 123 1)

  • Hi,

Could you provide some more information:

    1. What SDK are you using?
    2. Are you using the Matter lock sample for the nRF Connect SDK or the one from project chip?
      •    But when I reboot Ubuntu NB and OTBR, I can't send any command to bulb, how can I fix this issue?
Have you checked if you're still present on the Matter network?
    3. Could you reupload the chiptool error log? I can't download it

    Kind regards,
    Andreas

             Thanks for your support!

             1. My SDK version is V2.5.1

             2. I use light bulb project to test, not using Matter lock sample. Meanwhile, How can I check device still present in Matter network?

             3. This is my CHIP tool fail log, I upload it again:

Besides, I have bound light bulb and light switch pass, I can use switch to control bulb on/off, but can't use CHIP tool to control it.

Do you see the same issues with newer versions of the SDK? Either with NCS v2.7.0 or v2.8.0-rc2? The fully tagged version of NCSv2.8.0  is just around the corner.

  • v2.8.0 was tagged today and is available for use

Let me know about the progress

    Kind regards,
