NRF9151 DK VDD 3V

Hi,

Its maybe a stupid question but is there a easy way to operate the DK with 3V VDD and IO Voltage? The 9160 DK had a simple switch for this. The default for the 9151 is 1.8V whats not really usable with our external Hardware.

best regards

  • Hi Daniel,

The 9160 DK had a simple switch for this.

That's right, but for the nRF9151 DK you need to use the "Board Configurator" application in the nRF Connect for Desktop. Make sure you have the latest Board Configurator app installed from nRF Connect for Desktop.
Open the Board Configurator app and connect to your nRF9151 DK.
In the app, you should be able to change the VDD_GPIO voltage setting to 3V.

The default for the 9151 is 1.8V whats not really usable with our external Hardware.

Yes, but since the nRF9151 SiP itself supports supply range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V , you should be able to use 3V.

P.S Make sure to update the board controller firmware on your nRF9151 DK to version 1.1.0 or higher.
