nRF9161 DevKit nrf_mode: Modem has crashed

Hi,

I have two nrf9161 dev kits. I have flashed the firmware 2.0.1. Then I flashed the hello_dect example.

Now I always get an error and the program does not start.

Same problem with both boards. Therefore I do not suspect that the hardware is defective.

I have seen that someone already had the same problem. Is there a solution for this? What exactly does this error mean?

Since the newest MFW is 2.0.2, please flash it first and let me know if the issue persists.

i flash the newest firmware mfw-2.0.2.

I build the application also with the latest sdk 2.8.0.

But i have the same error message:

The blog post says that you have to go through sales for the firmware. I simply downloaded it via the following link.

Oh wait, sorry Martin, I made an oversight.

That firmware is only for LTE, so it's obvious to me now that it crashes. For DECT NR+ you need another Modem FW that's not publicly available.

Please contact our sales department or your local RSM to get access to it.
