After gaining experience with 3G and later 4G LTE-M over the past few years, I have observed a significant gap in the deployment of LTE-M in many countries. In contrast, classical LTE Cat-1 remains widely available globally.
Given this context, LTE Cat-1bis appears to be a promising option for products requiring robust, globally available connectivity and operational efficiency.
I am curious to know how Nordic is approaching this field. To my knowledge, there are no current Nordic products supporting LTE Cat-1bis, whereas Chinese companies seem to be advancing rapidly in this area. For instance, as noted in this article: L’Embarqué - LTE Cat-1bis Growth.
Could you share if there are any plans or ongoing developments for Nordic products supporting Cat-1bis?
