Dev Academy - nRF Connect SDK Intermediate - Lesson 3 Exercise 1 - Devicetree Visual Editor problem (part 2)

I am trying to work through the Dev Academy - nRF Connect SDK Intermediate - Lesson 3 Exercise 1. I have run into a problem in step 8. At first I couldn't get anything to show up in Context Files but eventually solved that. Now I have "DevAcademyL3E1_nrf52833.dts" showing up in Context files. But it won't show the .dtsi file and in the main window I am given the message "The editor could not be opened because the file was not found"

I am VERY frustrated with the SDK Intermediate course. I have spent the vast majority of my time debugging instructions rather than actually working through the exercises. This course needs to be tested much more heavily.

Thanks for reporting this. And I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the new course. We are trying to improve it. There are many issue caused by the recent change in nRF Connect SDK v2.7.x and v2.8.0 that we need to update the course. 
Regarding the issue you are seeing, I assume it's the same issue as: 
VS Code DeviceTree Extension Incorrect DTS File

It's been reported to Devicetree visual editor team and we hope to get it fixed soon.

Thank you for the prompt and honest reponse. I hope the course is corrected soon, because I am planning to stop proceeding until these issues are addressed.
