Hi All
I started on the fundamental course in the academy.
I did everything by the letter in lesson 1 / exercise 1
Yet when I plugged in my 52840 devkit I could no load the blinky app because it said no debugger found.
So I ran nrfjprog -r --log and it said "ERROR: No debuggers were discovered."
I noticed in device manager that a comport does appear, but I also saw the "Other Devices" group and an item called "BULK Interface" with an orange icon.
I also saw that unlike my other PC where istall works, plugging in the devkit results in a 'SEGGER MSD Volume USB Device" item under Disk Drives
Initially during the exercise it has instaled JLink 7.94e and so I installed the latest from the Segger website and that did not work either
So I manually pointed the "BULK interface" to my local folder "C:\Program Files\SEGGER\JLink_V810k" and it all worked after that.
I note thay chatgpt's suggestion was ..
C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGGER\JLink\
I have a sneaking suspicion that it would have all worked at first attempt if segger had installed in the jlink folder rather than jlink_vXXX
This was a head's up
