SDK v2.1.4 cannot be selected from Toolchain Manager

Hi,

i am using SDK version 2.1.1 and recently we had a problem due to the errata 160 which is fixed also in SDK 2.1.4

I am using Toolchain Manager 1.5.3 and i cannot select this version from here.

I managed to install manually, but i have problem to install the toolchain in the same way it is done through the Toolchain Manager.

Thanks in advance !

  • Hi ,

thanks for the reply. I understand but why is not there ? I need it to overcome an errata and i cannot install a higher version.

    Thanks in advance !

  • Hello, our toolchain manager team informs me that it's actually just the toolchain and not the SDK version that is listed in Toolchain Manager. The closest toolchain should be sufficient for testing SDK v2.1.4, in this case toolchain v2.1.3. You can install the SDK either via our VS code extension or using command line.

    Kind regards,
    Øyvind

  • Hi Øyvind,

    Thanks the reply.

I could see from the documentation, in the manual installation section, that all the SDK version 2.1.X use the same tool chain version. So I could use any of them or stay at the one I'm using 2.1.1. Is that correct ?

Sorry but through the vs code extension i dont manage to install the sdk 2.1.4 because it is not listed. Do you know what could be the issue ?

As said, I managed to install it manually, by downloading from Nordic repository.

    Thanks again for your support.

Yes, if you have SDK v2.1.1 and the toolchain installed for that, you should be able to use that. Have you tested?

What does you list look like?

    You mean v2.1.4?

  • Hi Øyvind,

thanks for your reply and apologize for the late reply.

I managed to do what you described (installing SDK 2.1.4 via VsCode and also take the latest toolchain 2.1.3).

So all ok. sorry because in one question i said SDK instead i meant toolchain 2.1.4 which you explained it does not exist/available via VsCode

    Thanks again for your availability

    Kind regards

    Riccardo
