How to use PPK2 measure current of custom board?

Hi,

I just got a PPK2, I'm going to measure the current of a nrf52 custom board, which is supply with Li-ion battery.

Should I connect GND on PPK2 to battery(-) when I use Ampere meter mode?

If not, how should I connect the wire to get power consumption with PPK2?

This is my connection currently,

The current measurement on the PPK2 must always be on the high side, you can't measure the current in the ground path. This can be seen as the voltage range is 0.8V to 5V.

VIN should be battery plus, VOUT should be target input (nRF52 board) and GND should be connected to board GND.

I have a custom nRF52820 board powered by a coin cell, and I want to measure its power consumption using the Nordic Power Profiler Kit 2 (PPK2).

Could you please explain the correct connection setup for measuring the board's power consumption, and which mode the PPK2 should be set to during measurement?
