DeviceTree editor is not working

I click on the device tree editor icon in VS-code and I see nothing

although I have an open working Zephyr nrf connect application in VScode.

I installed nrf connect SDK 2.8.0 according to the DevAcadmy course

Which program you tried to build? Do you have the latest version of VS code and VS Code extension?
