Windows 8 laptop wont pair with nRF51822 heart rate monitor

I have been trying to pair my nRF51822 heart rate monitor device with my Windows 8 laptop. Every time it is unsuccessful and returns the message try add your device again or check with manufacturer for additional setup instructions. Has anybody else encountered this problem.

If 8.0, it's not really possible to connect to the Heart Rate Profile without a "hack".

If 8.1 (or 10), you can write an app for handling the HRM profile. It can then be useful to take a look at the source code for the windows phone app, it can be found here.
