Hello Nordic Team,
While developing on the nRF5340 Audio DK, there are certain unusual behaviors that are tracked down by our development team over the bluetooth module. Please note that all of these are tracked over the audio application that is shipped with the samples in the SDK.
1) The Bluetooth Advertising randomly toggles from directed advertising to normal advertising in 2-3 seconds if the board is powered after 12-16 hrs. Sounds very weird but yes, if the board is left unattended and unpowered for a long time, and if we power it up to test it, the bluetooth advertising messes up. This is instantly fixed after reflashing the program. (There are no build or flash errors)
2) The BLE Connection is very unstable and randomly disconnects and reconnects over the period of time. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra which has BLE enabled. Paired up with the above issue, sometimes I cannot even connect to the board if it is not in directed advertising mode. Again, this is instantly fixed after reflashing the code.
What could be the possible reasons behind this behavior?
