how to get device MAC Address in nRF Connect SDK?

Hello,

Board: custom board

Soc: nRF52840

SDK: nRF Connect SDK v2.8.0

I would like to know device mac address and use the mac address in advertsing.

can you please advise me how to get the mac address?

I tried this thread:  RE: How to get Mac address using NRF5340_DK 

but could not make it. Compiler complains there is no option of CONFIG_BT_HCI_VS_EXT.
