No NXP Device Found

Hello Nordic Team!

I just installed the latest version of the nRF Connect extension as well as the nRF sdk on vs code.

Unfortunately I'm not abel to find my NXP dev board under "connected devices"

The Board appears in the devive manager on Windows but not in vs code.

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello,

I am not entirely sure I understand your issue clearly. If you are using an NXP development board, I recommend reaching out to the NXP community forum for assistance. If not, please provide more details about the development kit you are using. It would also be helpful if you could attach screenshots from VS Code with the nRF Connect extension, as well as from the Device Manager (to confirm the connected device).

    Kind regards,
    Abhijith

  • Hi thanks for your response.

I'm using a mimxrt1060_evk board. In the device manager it's shown under COM port 6 as shown in the image.

    VS code:

It is also possible to flash the application from the console.

Is there a setting that I have to change in the nRF extension?

  • Hello,

I did a quick search online about the evaluation kit you mentioned, and I couldn’t find any indication of a Nordic chip in it. That’s probably why the kit doesn’t show up as a connected device in the nRF Connect extension. I’d suggest checking with the NXP community to confirm.

If I’m wrong and there is a Nordic chip in the kit, could you share the datasheet? I’d be happy to help you sort this out.

    Kind Regards,

    Abhijith
