nRF Connect(Android, latest Version)

I have problems with nRF Connect(Android, latest Version, no version number found) to find BLE devices with 2M phy, coded phy and extended advertising.
So i am running nRF Connect and Wigle Wifi parallel on the same phone. Wigle shows all, but nRF Connect not. Whats wrong?

  • Hi

Can you share some details on the device you're trying to connect to here? I tested with an nRF52840 DK on my end with an application running on the 2MBPS PHY and LE Coded PHY and had no issue with scanning and connecting to the device with nRF52840. If you go to settings and About application you can see the version of the nRF Connect app. I'm using v4.29.1 of the nRF Connect app (which is the latest version).

I also tried Wigle for reference, but I was only able to see Wi-Fi networks and no Bluetooth devices when scanning. I didn't test for too long, so that might be user error on my part. Also, what phone are you using on your end and what Android device are you testing on? Please make sure you've enabled location services on the nRF Connect for Android app.

    Best regards,

    Simon
