Q: What is "error: A1023E"?

Hello,

I cannot build a known-buildable project and get error A1023E.

No Programmer's Reference exists and there is no documentation referencing this error.

I think part of the problem is Nordic does not use environment variables so there is no concrete reference point for compile, assemble and link directives. I'm stuck.

This is not our error message, it's Keil's. However, you're right that our projects use relative paths, and are made to be put in a certain location in your SDK installation. If you need to place them somewhere else, you'll have to edit the paths manually, which as you've found out can be done with any text editor by opening Keil's .uvproj and .uvopt files.
