Not able to commission matter over thread light app on nrf5340dk board with OTBR using chip-tool

I am trying to commission the matter over thread light app on nrf5340dk with my OTBR using chip-tool but getting below error every time.

OTBR is running on NXP's FRDM-RW612. I am able to successfully commission the OTBR using chip-tool.

I am able to commission and control the light app on nrf5340dk using NXP Matter Tool mobile app via OTBR but when I am trying everything with chip-tool not able to commission nrf5340dk

Does anyone have any idea what could be the reason?

Thank you so much Marte Myrvold. You were right, after adding hex: it can be successfully commissioned. Previously I was adding "hex:" but the command was failing saying unsupported command. Can you tell me where I can get the info on all the error codes like you found the root cause from the "networkingStatus=1"

Hi Bhavya,

I used the Matter core specification and looked up the NetworkConfig response command. This shows that the NetworkingStatus field is of the data type NetworkCommissioningStatusEnum.

Looking up this data type, I found the different values, such as value 1 being OutOfRange.

The NetworkConfig response command can be found in chapter 11.9.7.7 in v1.4 of the Matter spec, and the NetworkCommissioningStatusEnum type can be found in chapter 11.9.5.4.

Thank you for sharing this knowledge Marte Myrvold, Yes I have matter 1.4 spec but I am new to matter. I think it's open to all, and there is no need to be a CSA member to download it.
