I am investigating use-cases around indoor positioning, particularly in commercial and industrial environments (warehouses, factories etc.). The customers prefer to not roll out additional infrastructure for this positioning, so UWB and BLE AoA are not feasible. The locations are also unsuitable for GPS. This leaves a Wi-Fi based positioning implementation as the preferred path. The devices contain a nRF7002 Wi-Fi chip.
The documentation I have found online has all been around Wi-Fi positioning in combination with nRF91. However in this situation we do not want cellular connection.
Is there any white paper, other documentation, or further reading regarding using Wi-Fi positioining standalone with the nRF7002? I am interested to understand the achievable accuracy, SW infrastructure etc.
