nRF7002 VBAT and power design

Hi,

Is there any better block diagram of how power is managed and routed within the nRF7001/ nRF7002 device ?

I see it has a buck from BUCKVBAT fed back to several other pins. But I can't tell which ones are the main power inputs and if any of them should get prioritized bypass cap placement or power plane connect.

Is any part of the chip such as the PA powered directly from VBAT?

Does VBAT need to be regulated or stay relatively constant ? Or if all the power goes through the buck anyway then does it do any good to pre-regulate the power input to 3.6V as opposed to just letting VBAT track a 1s Li+ battery which can be 3.2~4.2V ?

Hi Steve,

I don't think there are any diagrams available that show exactly this, but regarding placement of caps etc. we do have reference circuitry and recommendation for this available.

I'll ask the relevant R&D team about the rest, and let you know once I hear from them.
