nRF Connect Mobile doesn't bond

Hi,

I'm new to the nRF52840 and BLE and want to send a simple string like "Hello World!" to a paired device (phone) at a cadance of 1Hz e.g. I started with the peripheral sample app (I assumed this would be a good base to start from) and realized that the nRF Connect app on my android phone connects to my nRF52840 but it doesn't actually bond, how do I enable bonding?
Also, is the sample I started from the right application to guide me to my goal or should I be looking at another one instead?

Hello,

If you are new to nRF and BLE, I recommend exploring the Developer Academy course on nRF Connect SDK and Bluetooth Low Energy. This will provide you with a good starting point.

Regarding the peripheral sample, I wasn’t quite sure which specific sample you are working with, as there are several peripheral samples available. I recommend looking into the Peripheral_BMS sample, which demonstrates bonding.
