Can the NFCT module on the nrf52840 be used to communicate with this RFID tag

Hello,

We are currently looking to implement an RFID tag reader in a project I am working on and I am wondering if the NFCT module can be used to read an RFID tag such as this one:

I know the datasheet says it is only for NFCT. This RFID tag mentions ISO/IEC15693 which is not mentioned in the nrf52840 datasheet at all.

If the answer is no, are there any programmable RFID tags that can be used with the NFCT module on the nrf52840? It would be ideal to use the module on chip rather than having to implement a separate RFID solution taking up more board space and adding cost. Thank you for any help you can give.

Hello,

The nRF52840 can act as a nfc tag, the nRF52840 is not an nfc reader. The nRF52840 can however control a third party NFC reader over SPI, for instance:

Ok thank you for the clarification. I was hoping to avoid having to do that, but it seems I don't have a choice.
