NCS 2.8.0 has increased audio latency

I am measuring latency using the nrf5340_audio with SDK 2.8.0.
The measurement points are the analog input on the gateway side and the analog output on the headset side.
I am also using the nRF5340 Audio DK hardware.

 

Compared to SDK 2.3.0, the latency has increased by about 10ms (SDK 2.3.0:  33ms, SDK 2.8.0: 43ms).
What is the cause of the increase in latency?
