nrf9161 IMEI Deployment in Assembly Line

Hi,

I was wondering, what is the professional, assembly line ready procedure to program the IMEI on an nrf9161?

So far, I've only found rajeev's post in this discussion  Unable to write IMEI using %IMEIWRITE to nrf9161  which suggests to use the PTI together with the at_client sample to program the IMEI. Unfortunately, using this approach means that we almost double the time and therefore the costs one device setup takes in the assembly line.

Are there any alternatives to rajeev's solution? I'm also concerned about possible errors that could occur when the communication with the at_client sample is automated by a script.

I've got one last question: what is the best approach to track which IMEIs were already used in the assembly line? I've got some ideas but none of them are entirely convincing.

Have you had a look at the nRF91 Series Production Programming guide?

The PTI image is the only modem FW that you can use to program the IMEI.
