Enabling Notification in Central Application

I'm writing a client/central application connecting to a peripheral, discovering a service, and then wishing to enable notifications from a specific characteristic.

Once enabled, I expect to receive the BLE_GATTC_EVT_HVX events and go from there.

However, I cant seem to find a plain and simple example of a central enabling notification on a characteristic....

I'm using the nrf SDK (not the new SDK)

Hello,

I suggest using the ble_nus_c_tx_notif_enable() function in the ble_app_uart_c example as a reference. This implementation uses the BLE GATT Queue  module to queue the write request, because issuing the request directly may lead to a "busy" error if another request is already in progress.
