Long Cellular Connection Times

I recently tired the Onomondo static and external softSim demo on the nRF9151 DK. For both of the demos they take around 4 minutes until the DK gets a cellular connection. This seems a lot longer than the DK takes to get a cellular connection on a normal sim card. Has anyone else noticed long cellular connection times with softSim?

Hi Kevin,

Connection times can vary based on multiple factors, including network conditions, device configuration, and specific implementation details.  I do not see any real difference using the Onomondo softSIM where I am located in Irvine CA.  You can reach out to Onomondo to get more detailed information.  They may have further gudiance.  You might want to try different locations in your area.
