flashing an Ezurio BT510 sensor using the nRF52 DK

Hi,

Apologies for a newbie question (I am far from a developer and just need to flash firmware)

I have a nRF52 DK connected to my PC running nRF Connect for desktop

Should the sensor appear on the list of devices in nRF Connect when I had the debug out cable connected to the sensor?

I need to flash a hex file to the Ezurio BT510 sensor

Yes, windows command prompt. In termnal window in nRF connect you have to selec device. Large blue section that says "Select device" in your screen shot. It shot drop down and show the DK you have connected. Select the one and then you can connect to port.

Hi - I don't get any response with com 3 or com 4 (no others showing)

Hmm - we already tried using the programmer as above at the top using th 10 pin header - the ezurio bt510 sensor does not appear as a device to be able to flash it

You will only see the DK as that is the debugger you are using. If you erase the target then you can determine if it is the onboard nRF52832 or the external device as that should have 1024kB of flash while the one on the DK has only 512kB.

Hi - I see this which I presume means it is not seeing the ezurio BT510?

Yes, looks like that sees a 512kB device. You can test that by loading an application using the LEDs without the external devices plugged in. If you then plug in the external device and erase it the LEDs will turn of if it indeed targeted the onboard device. You do have power on the external device? If not then it will target the onboard device instead.

Hi - I don't have power on the BT510 as the battery sits over the interface where you plug in the lead and I presumed power was supplied via the lead.  I will see what I can do

It isn't supplied but there should be a possibility to fix this on the DK, read through the user guide and check.
