How to Send only 3 byte of data using ble_uart_example

hi, i am using ble_uart example for send 3 byte (midi format) of data over uart. i am receiving data which is appended with past data and sends as a chunk of data around 20-21 byte of data. i need to have seprate data without appending to existing one.

where i need to make changes in the code.

here is my code :

  • The if statement in below code snippet it's what determines when to start transmitting the data over the air. That is, either transmit current buffer if receiving newline or that the index equals '20'. Simply change BLE_NUS_MAX_DATA_LEN to '3' if you always want to sent the data in packets of 3 bytes.

    switch (p_event->evt_type)
    {
        case APP_UART_DATA_READY:
            UNUSED_VARIABLE(app_uart_get(&data_array[index]));
            index++;

            if ((data_array[index - 1] == '\n') || (index >= (BLE_NUS_MAX_DATA_LEN)))
            {
                err_code = ble_nus_string_send(&m_nus, data_array, index);
                if (err_code != NRF_ERROR_INVALID_STATE)
                {
