In nrf5340 Audio DK example, Is it is possible to add an additional channel for messaging to a third board?

In the nRF5340 Audio DK example located at C:\ncs\nrf\applications\nrf5340_audio, I want to add a third board and communicate with it from the master (gateway) to send commands without interfering with the left and right audio channels. Is it possible to achieve this while audio is playing on the left and right channels?

hi dejans  thanks for your reply. I want the functionality of "nrf5340_audio" example and also I want to add an additional channel to it for communicating via messages not for not audio transmission .  Use case will be Left and Right channel will play audio as it is and third channel will respond with the commands send from gateway, like start blinking led , stop blinking led etc.
