Question on Immutable bootloader support for nrf54l15

Hi All,

I am currently exploring on nrff4l15 SOC and have its dev kit.

I read on this forum ( multiple tickets ), that there is a support of NSIB. I would like to know more about this. How it works and how to enable/disable it.

Reason for asking this is, I am currently in exploration stage and I wanted to make some changes, validate it and then only make a bootloader which I wanted to configure as immutable.

Till the time it should be erasable.

I wanted to use B0 bootloader which will load MCUBoot and then MCUBoot will load my application. This is something I wanted to achieve.

Any suggestion/guidance will be more helpful.

  • Hi!

It's currently not supported, might be supported in the upcoming NCS v3.0.0 release, but for roadmap questions you should contact a Nordic sales representative.

  • Thanks Sigurd for the update.

Can I assume, I can use B0 bootloader to upgrade MCUBoot And I can re-flash(erase and write) B0 bootloader available at

    ?

Or I cannot use it at all for the nrf54l15 ?

    Thanks,

    Nilesh
