NRF PPK2 can't to show the correct current compare with my old one

Today I bought a new NRF-PPK2, but compare with my old NRF-PPK2.

For the old and new PPK2, I use the same DUT.

It can't show the same current with my old one? can you help to advise?

Old NRF-PPK2 have a stable current, but the New one didn't have a stable current.

Is there any a way to calibrate?

The following is my old PPK2, it is normal.

The following is my new PPK2, it is abnormal. The current is not stable and a large current gap.

  • Hi

The average current consumption on the two PPKs seem to be the same. These spikes seem to be "phantom spikes" caused by the level shifters on the PPK2 during big current changes. The spikes are tall, but they are also ~0 in the time axis so they won't affect the average power consumption

This will vary somewhat between individual devices which is why you see they're different between your devices. The old PPK2 also have these phantom spikes, they are just not as tall. You can mitigate this somewhat by tweaking the spike filter option on the left hand side in the Power Profiler app. They are better explained in this ticket:  RE: Optimizing Current Consumption and Choosing a Battery for BLE Mesh Sensors
