nrf9151 doesn't power up

Hello guys!

I have a strange problem where the nrf9151dk suddenly won't power up. It was working fine - I was only working with SW, not HW.

I got a pop-up error saying "power voltage on usb port" and after that the nrf won't turn on anymore. I've tried different cables and also powering it on another laptop - nothing works.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hello, 

Did you connect anything special to you DK i.e any external voltage or power measurement? Did you try setting any voltage through the Board Configurator? Please provide more details on what you were doing up to the point it would not power up.

I was flashing the code to the nrf as any other day. It worked perfectly fine till the moment the pop-up message from Windows appeared, saying "power surge on USB port".

After that message, nrf couldn't be powered anymore.

Nothing was connected to the board, just a USB cabel connected to my laptop. I haven't changed anything in the Board Configurator.

Other devices connected to the same port work, so the port is not causing the problem.

Thanks for elaborating. Very strange behavior. How did you get hold of this board, i.e. through our distributor or sales team?

I bought it from Mouser Electronics.
