  • Hi,

I think some more context would be helpful to answer your question. But in general it works like this.

A Central can connect to a Peripheral that is sending out Connectable Advertising Messages. A Central needs to scan the air and send the Connect Request immediately after an Advertising Message was sent, because that is when the Peripheral is listening.

So when a connection is lost, the Peripheral needs to start Advertising again and the Central has to start scanning for these messages again.

    I hope this clarifies something!

  • Hi,just as what you said, when a connection is lost, the Peripheral needs to start Advertising again and the Central has to start scanning for these messages again. Now I want to realize that the advertiser sends high duty cycle targeted ads and the scanner connects with it, which is the scanner sample in zepher, I only know the advertiser sample is direct_adv.

  • Hi Caesarzhou,

While directed advertising is the intended solution for connection, please keep in mind that Apple Accessory Design Guidelines recommend against using it. As for what that actually means, you will have to ask Apple.

Other than that, the samples you found should show you exactly what have to be done to achieve what you want to do. From your reply, I am not clear if you need any help. If you do, please be more specific.
