Is a TVS diode clamping voltage of 6.5 V acceptable for supplementing the built-in ESD protection of the NRF52840 GPIO pins?
It has been previously established in the forum here that "Vbr of 5 to 6 V is ok."
Using the Texas Instruments ESDS31x with a clamping voltage of 6.5 V would allow hand soldering it to the nRF52840 Dongle to protect just one GPIO pin. All other TVS diodes with a clamping voltage 6 V or smaller are not suitable for hand soldering.
