Interfacing ENC28J60 with nRF52832

Hello, 

       I am currently working on integrating the ENC28J60 Ethernet module using SEGGER Embedded Studio and nRF5 SDK version 15.0. As part of this project, I would like to confirm whether it is possible to interface the ENC28J60 with the nRF52832 microcontroller via the SPI interface.

      If interfacing is supported, I would appreciate guidance on the recommended libraries or drivers suitable for this configuration. My primary objective is to first verify Ethernet connectivity and then proceed to implement packet data transmission and reception using the Ethernet module.

     Your support or any reference material would be highly beneficial.

Hi,

We do not have any specific support for ENC28J60, but there are some threads here where people have used it before, for intsance this one. Other than that, we have SPI master example that you can refer to for the low level part. One thing, though. the nRF5 SDK 15.0 is very old, and does not support the latest revision nRF52832. I woudl recomend that you migrate to nRF Connect SDK (see nRF Connect SDK and nRF5 SDK statement). If you need to stick with nRF5 SDK for some reason, I recommend that you use the latest version of that, which is 17.1.1.
