nrf9151 Hologram Soft Sim configuration

We are trying to evaluate nrf9151 for working with Soft-SIM.
Are there any instructions for configuring the Soft-SIM through AT command mode, or do I need to use another mode?

 
Configuration: nfr9151 dk out of box, FW version v2.0.2, Serial LTE Modem (AT command mode).

Now it's clear that there is no approach to setting up a Soft-SIM through AT command mode.

Did I understand correctly that there is no standard for Soft-SIM implementation, so each MVNO needs to have a special hardware-dependent API? And for now, Hologram does not support Soft-SIM implementation like Onomondo at all.

Hello, I asked internally about the Hologram SoftSIM and they were not aware of this. At the moment we have support for Onomondo, nuSIM and Monogoto. If Hologram are working on a SoftSIM they can make their own implementation based on our softSIM interface in the Modem library.

If we want to use Monogoto softsim, what is the cleanest way?  I have a soft sim profile ready to load but I am stuck as I can't find clear instructions on how to do this on the nrf9151 with our firmware.  Monogoto can generate a hex file and this works.  We can see the device on network with the softsim profile confirming the softsim is working.  But this hex file blows away our application (based on the serial_lte_modem example) when we flash it.  Do we need to modify our SLM application to support softsim?

Speaking with Monogoto, they follow the same profile format as Onomondo.  Before I start integrating Onomondo's library to support Monogoto connectivity, I wanted to check there isn't a better approach Nordic recommends.

Hello, no, this seems to be the current method to integrate Monogoto support. You can build the Serial LTE Modem application with overlay-softsim.conf from the nrf-softsim add-on, but will need to make sure settings are correct for Monogoto. Please reach out to them for the correct details.

If you do test and have issues, please open a new DevZone ticket with details on what you have done, what SDK version, and logs, and with the correct settings provided from Monogoto.

I'm about to start exploring this functionality.  Were you able to get the monogoto esim to work?

Yes.  I can attest that Monogoto works on NCS v2.6.1 with the softsim repo but you must select an older code base to match the SDK version.  I cannot attest if the latest NCS sdk + softsim repo but I expect it will.  The main issue I had was that if you use the latest softsim version and an older NCS SDK, logs are not helpful and you will not get connectivity.
