The feature set on the nRF5340 and nRF52833 in terms of IQ data is the same, so both should work, but the Github repo you link to is an unofficial example project made by one of the engineers here at Nordic, but not an officially supported one. it's not something we can provide technical support on, but you're free to use the repo and (for simplicity the nRF52833) to extract IQ data form the MCPD measurement.
