Bluetooth LE TV remote emulator

Hello everyone.

I am trying to develop a emulator for a Bluetooth low energy tv remote using raspberry PI. Basically I want to be able to use the raspberry pi as a TV remote. 
I am new to Bluetooth and I don't have much experience using it. Could someone tell me if this project would even be possible or suggest some guide?

While Nordic Semiconductor makes BLE products, we unfortunately don't provide any support for implementing BLE product on the Raspberry Pi alone.

I believe you will receive much better help from the Raspberry Pi forums.
