I asked a question earlier related to this here: NRF7002 and MU-MIMO
But I want to make sure I have understood this correctly, and check nothing has changed.
From my understanding, the nRF7002 does not implement any MIMO capabilities, and cannot participate in MU-MIMO. I.e. even if the Wi-Fi 6 Access Point (AP) supports multiple spatial streams, only one can be used at a time when an nRF7002 is communicating.
As an extreme example, in a scenario with an Wi-Fi 6 AP supporting 8SS, connected to 40 nRF7002 clients, all 40 would need to share a single spatial stream (either in round-robin fashion, or simultaneously via OFDMA), and so only 1/8th the AP's bandwidth could be utilised.
Is that correct? Or can the nRF7002 participate as a sinlge-stream device, with the AP communicating with multiple clients simultaneously via different spatial streams?
