Use of TCK106AG in Thingy91_X - Hardware files 1_0_0

PCA20065_Schematic_And_PCB.pdf

We are working on a prototype of nrf9151 with various sensors and nrf54L15. Our schematics designer says U13 (TCK106AG) may not be needed. Please let us know its use.

  • Hi, Vivek.

U13 is a load switch controlling the power supply of the LNA found in the path of the GPS signal. It is only added to the design to reduce the total current consumption. If looking at the schematic of the nRF9151 DK, which is downloadable from here, it isn't present there.

So yes, it is possible to not include it in your design. Including it will only let you further lower your current consumption.
