Hi Victor,
The nRF54L series is not designed to support LDO power supply mode.

Hi,
I stumbled upon this topic randomly but I'm a bit confused by this answer. The REGULATORS section of the product specification states that without an external inductor the device will stay in LDO mode. Is this mode of operation not stable for long term use?
Best regards,
Sašo
Hello,
The device has not been designed to operate in LDO only mode. It is possible for the device to run in an LDO only mode, however compared with the nRF52 Series the power consumption in LDO only mode is very bad.

This mode is not intended for normal or long-term use.
Please see the discussion here: High current consumption with LDO regulator mode on nRF54L SoC

Thank you for the confirmation. I personally wasn't planning on using it in LDO mode but I do think that this info is quite important and should be stated more clearly in the product specification. Perhaps where it says
If an inductor is not detected, the device remains in LDO mode.
There should be a warning about the current consumption.
