NFR52 DK DOESN'T CONNECT

Hello:

I bought an NRF52 DK at the beginning of May from DigiKey.

I installed nRF Connect for Visual Studio Code Windows 11 today.
I connected the NFR52 DK to the USB port and it was the first time I did this.
I started the nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals Training.
I did exercise 1 and I'm doing exercise 2.
The NFR52 DK doesn't appear connected in Connected Devices in VS Code.
I noticed that it doesn't appear in Device Manager either.

Is there a procedure to enable it in Windows?
Should any LED on the kit light up when it is recognized in Windows?
What are the specifications of the USB cable that should be used?

Regards

  • Hi,

I hope you've read the nRF 52 DK getting started. [Link]

When you inset USB cable and toggle the Power switch to ON, make sure power LED turns ON.

Most common issues in such cases involves, replacing data/ USB cable as it may not be supporting data transmission and installation of drivers in the windows.

  • Hi:

    NFR52 DK is connected.

About the exercise 2 - Blinky sample:
I tried nRF Connect SDK and Toolchain last version for both. It didn't work.
I tried nRF Connect SDK and Toolchain 2.9.0 version for both. It didn't work.
I tried nRF Connect SDK and Toolchain 2.8.0 version for both. It worked.

The exercise can be done in 3 minutes, but I ended up spending two hours.
My suggestion is that the text in exercise 2 be updated to inform that the exercise works on version 2.8.0.

Regards and thanks for the support.

    Luiz
