Hi,

I would like to know the difference between the nRF52840-QIAA  & nRF52840-QIAA -R7.

  • Hello,

The "R7" suffix refers to the container code, which indicates that the devices are supplied on a 7" reel.

There is no difference in the electrical or functional characteristics of the chips themselves between these options—they are simply different packaging formats for logistics and manufacturing convenience.

So, nRF52840-QIAA-R7 is the nRF52840-QIAA device supplied on a 7" reel, while nRF52840-QIAA (without a suffix) is a generic reference to the device. The actual orderable part will always include a container code for shipping. See here: Ordering information
