Network Testing with Nordic Thingy

Hi

We have a Nordic thingy device with us & using that we would like to perform some network testing.

We are setting up a private NB IoT network and we would like to run some basic test like ping etc. Could you please let us know how that can be performed & what additional software we need to use.

We basically need to perform test like Attach/Detach, Ping some IPs & run iperf for throughput check.

Thank you. Please help me learn how can I use Modem Shell with Nordic Thingy ? 
Where can I get the exe for Modem Shell & from it how do I connect to thingy to get the command line ?

Does this course cover all that.
