nRF Connect for VS Code "Fetching available SDK versions..." Stuck for >3 Days

Hi there,

I am unable to install an SDK through VSCode while trying to take the steps outlined in the documentation.
I have navigated to "Manage SDKs" under the "nRF Connect" extension icon in the "Activity Bar" in VS Code.
Upon pressing "Install SDK" it indefinitely hangs with the message "Fetching available SDK version..." and no output is displayed indicating why it is not working.
It has been doing this since I first attempted to use this extension - of course I was able to select and install a toolchain and the computer has been restarted numerous times already.

Is this a common problem?

What is your VSCode version? As well as your nRF Connect Vscode extension version?

Which OS are you working on?

Hi there Priyanka (I go by Super by the way) - so I wanted to close this ticket because I was able to resolve it by following the guide from the very beginning. When I discovered the page I was following through a search engine, I don't believe it had mentioned that you had to have the Nordic Semiconductor command line tools installed.

I've also got this issue where it complains that settings exist in multiple places (project kconfig and in zephyr kconfigs I think) but it's not too much of a bother because they're all collected under the same node in the problems pane.
