Suitable Bluetooth module from Nordic

Hi everyone,

We are on the lookout for a bluetooth module from Nordic that is suitable for our product. The product is a handheld digital stethoscope that transfers acquired heart sounds from a sthethoscope to smart phone in real time (example, via SPP bluetooth profile) for displaying waveform on smartphone . Can you suggest a bluetooth BLE module from Nordic that can be used to transfer heart sound data to an Android and iOS smartphone and a Bluetooth profile that can be used with it.

You can use the Nordic UART Service to implement this application. The Nordc UART Service comes with applications for iOS and Android.

Thanks a lot for the response and pointers. Also, to get in touch with the 3rd party party vendors for more details on the modules, do we go via Nordic or do we need to contact the vendors directly? Any info on contact details would be of big help.

We are impressed with Nordic's suite of BLE solutions and would like to explore more. Also, do you have any idea whether there will be any latency issues in displaying acquired stethoscope data on a smartphone in real-time, via BLE Nordic UART service? A hunch/gut feel on the matter too would be of help.
