how to test PA with dtm

hi support team,

if customer want to certificate device with 21540, which tool can customer use for dtm testing?

our tool can only set it to 8, can't be 10, as below:

and in DTM readme,it is said:

* DTM with front-end module support:

   * When the :ref:`CONFIG_DTM_POWER_CONTROL_AUTOMATIC <CONFIG_DTM_POWER_CONTROL_AUTOMATIC>` Kconfig option is enabled (default), the official ``0x09`` DTM command sets the final output power to the desired, or the closest available value by configuring the SoC output power and the front-end module gain automatically.

so problem is which tool the command 09 can work?

Hi, William.

I'm afraid the DTM application in nRF Connect for Desktop doesn't support using the nRF21540. See the answer in this ticket.

It is, however, possible to use the Bluetooth: Direct Test Mode sample without the nRF Connect for Desktop application.

On the other hand, if they want to certify a custom board, the Radio test (short-range) sample might be a better option.
