COMP Electrical Specification

Dear devzone,
Can our nRF52840 detect 20 nanosecond voltage fluctuations using COMP? For example, if I set a lower threshold of 20mV and an upper threshold of 60mV, and the voltage changes from 50mV to 60mV in 20 nanoseconds, can COMP detect it and generate an UP event?

Hi,

If you take look at the nRF52840 Datasheet, from the COMP electrical specs, you can see that even in high-speed mode, the fastest possible response is 100 ns, and that’s with 10 mV overdrive (i.e., the input voltage is significantly past the threshold).

So I don't think a 20ns change can be reliably detected.
