migrating an existing application from V2.9.0 to V3.0.2

We have an existing application that is based on asset tracker V2. It has been running since version 1.7.0 I have migrated to V2.9.0 a long time ago and it is running flawlessly.I am trying to migrate to V3.0.2. I copied the asset_tracker_v2 application over and tried to build. It would not build. I do not see asset_tracker_v2 in the applications as it was before. if this is no longer supported what new application can i use to send JSON packets to AWS. I want to keep up to date with the latest toolchain and SDK but I need to connect to AWS and send JSON packets to AWS. any help you can give will be appreciated.

Asset_tracker_v2 sample was removed in NCS v3.0.0. Please refer to this migration guide. It has been replaced with Asset Tracker Template. You can also look at AWS IoT sample.

thanks for the information. I have AWS_IOT compiled and working. I can publish data to AWS. I also built the "asset tracker template". It wants to talk to nRF cloud. I need to be able to talk to the AWS cloud. Do you have an example that talks to the AWS cloud? AWS is essential to our application and customer requirements. I appreciate any help you can give.
