Broken J3 Port on nrf52840-DK

Hi,

I purchased a Qorvo  QM33120WDK1 UWB development kit that uses a Nordic nrf52840-DK. I have been using this DK for weeks without issues, but the last time I used it I noticed the J3 port of the Nordic DK was a bit loose and i often lost connection with my PC, hence the LED going off. Now as I returned to use it i find that the port is completely disattached form the board after I stored it. Is there another way to communicate with my PC other than using the J3 micro usb port? I understand that the J2 port is only used to flash the board, as the instructions given by the Qorvo user guide, and cannot be used to connect via serial port to my computer.

Thanks a lot.

Regards.

  • Hi David,

It should be possible to communicate with the DK using the various Test Points that are available on the DK (you can refer the hardware reference diagrams of the DK, found on our website), but these are a bit tacky solutions and I would suggest to try and modify a usb cable or something which might be a better solution.
