Bypass on-board CODEC of nRF5340 Audio DK for multiple microphones interface

Hello,

We are working on an audio project where we are using nRF5340 Audio DK. We want to externally interface the digital microphones without using the on-board codec (CS47L63). Furthermore, we have interfaced four analog microphones with nRF5340 Audio DK. We are also checking whether it is possible to interface multiple digital microphones with nRF5340 Audio DK, bypassing the on-board codec

So, is it possible to interface digital microphones (I2S or PDM) with nRF5340 Audio DK without using the on-board codec? If yes, which pins can we use for interface? Can more than two microphones be connected to a single I2S bus/line?
