nRF5340 Power supply usb setup configuration for battery powered device

Hey All

Im working on a new product and its the first time I'm developing around the nrf5340, I'm looking for some guidance around the supply configuration for maximum battery efficiency but minimal components ( the board is extremely small and already using the CLAA package )

The product is a battery powered device that is charged via a USB-C PD circuit and the battery voltage is 13.2V- PD circuit provides 15v to the charger and external DC to DC regulator to generate the 3V3 system voltage.

My questions are as follows

1) I assume the general VDD supply and external inductors is setup correctly for DC/DC regulation

2) Since my USB-C voltage will be 15v and im using usb C connector but USB2 interface on the nRF how do I connect the VBUS pin ? I would generally leave it un connected but I read that this input is used to detect USB is preset. So do I connect this to the 3v3 rail or do I need todo a step down from the 15v to generate the 5v on this inout will the USB is plugged in ?
